Resumen
Rural water distribution systems often face challenges in real-time monitoring, secure data management, and operational inefficiencies, leading to resource loss. This paper presents an R&D project by Ambling, utilizing Digital Twins (DT) and Blockchain (BC) technologies to enhance these systems. It integrates LoRa gateways for efficient data collection and a private Ethereum Proof of Authority (PoA) blockchain for secure, tamper-proof data management. Experimental results from the Ambling project demonstrate the system’s efficiency, achieving over 80 transactions per second with under 2 seconds latency at 400 meters, while tests at 1,000 meters confirm its scalability and cost-effectiveness for resource-limited municipalities.
