Resumen
Data visualization is one of the most effective ways to analyze and gain insights from datasets. In the field of process mining, graphical representations help to identify structural differences and variations between different process executions, playing a critical role in understanding how business processes behave over time. Despite the importance of this task, process mining tools are not designed to efficiently create, explore, and compare multiple discovered models, making analysis time-consuming and error-prone due to the lack of simultaneous and consistent visualization for direct comparison. In this paper, we discuss existing approaches to visually compare business processes. We analyze their strengths and limitations, focusing on their ability to manage and search multiple process models. We also discuss challenges, and opportunities for future research. By summarizing existing work, we provide a comprehensive overview of the state of the art and identify key areas for improvement.
